parks and recreation is a political satire mockumentary sitcom television series created by Greg Daniel and Michael Schur. The series aired over seven seven seasons. the series starts Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, a perky, mid-level bureaucrat in the parks department of Pawnee, a fictional town in Indiana. Mark leaves his leaves his city hall career for a private sector job and is never seen, heard from, or even referenced on the show ever again. meanwhile, a crippling budget deficit leads state auditors Chris Traeger and Ben Wyatt to shut down the pawnee government temporarily.
