schitt's creek

 schitt's creek is a Canadian television sitcom created by Dan levy and father Eugene levy, the series follows the formerly wealthy Rose family's trials and tribulations. After their business manager embezzles the family business, Rose Video. Johnny played by Eugene Levy, his wife and former soap opera actress Moira played by Catherine O'Hara, and their pampered adult children David played by Dan Levy and Alexis played by Annie Murphy. They lose their fortune after being defrauded by their business manager. they rebuild their lives with their sole remaining asset a small town in Ontario named Schitt's creek, which johnny bought David as a joke for his birthday gift in 1991. The roses are forced to relocate to Schitt's Creek, moving into two adjacent rooms in a run-down motel. while the family adjust to their new lives, their well-to-do attitudes come into conflict with the more provincial residents of schitt's creek, including mayor Roland Schitt's played by Chris Elliott, his wife Jocelyn played by Jenn Robertson and their son Mutt played by Tim Rozon, the motel's manager Stevie Budd played by Emily Hampshire, town council members Ronnie played by Karen Robinson and bob played by john Hemphill, the veterinarian Ted Mullens played by Dustin Milligan and Jazzagal member and café tropical waitress Twyla sands played by Sarah Levy. Noah Reid as Patrick Brewer, David's business partner and later husband. schitt's creek received critical acclaim and garnered a cult following, particularly for its writing,  humour and acting, the series has won various accolades, including two ACTRA awards  and 18 Canadian screen award. it is the first Canadian series to be nominated for a critic's choice television award for best comedy series. it also received two screen actors guild awards, including outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series and a total of 19 primetime Emmy award nomination. including outstanding comedy series twice. the show received 15 of these nomination for its six and final season, setting a record for the most Emmy nomination for a comedy series' final season.
